So we’ve been around since 1850 but we’ve always been trendy. But this year we want to be trending, online that is. So we embarked on a digital makeover. First we re-designed our logo – voila! What do you think?
Then we partnered with Digital Training Institute to deliver a digital marketing strategy with millennials in mind. We asked Joanne Sweeney-Burke the importance of digital strategy for businesses?
Think and act like a millennial
We live in a super social world where real-time is more important than ‘what has happened.’ The Skeff Late Bar & Kitchen is a hive of activity and #skefflife is a hashtag which tells the real-time story of their customers, their team and those partners that they work with. There are so many stories to tell in the walls of such an historic and significant building in Galway’s Eyre Square. So I intend to unlock them and bring their social scene alive on the social web.
Get social with us!
So we are now on Snapchat (theskeff), Instagram, Facebook ,Twitter, YouTube and TripAdvisor. Whatever social network you’re on, let’s chat. We intend to build up our online community so we stay social in between we see each other in real life.
We believe fans deserve a VIP experience
Then we asked our General Manager Brian O’Toole what he could do for our loyal customers (we prefer fans) and he said lots.
Of course our fans are very important peeps (VIPs) so we launched Skeff Rewards which offers exclusive access to our events, earned points for money spent in any the bar or restaurant as well as VIP experiences. Simply sign up by entering your email address on our home page and call in for your Skeff Rewards card which you swipe with every purchase.
