Shave the Date: Friday, 1st November

This November, Movember returns with its annual month-long fundraiser challenging men across Ireland to grow a moustache, raising awareness and funds for men’s health issues. The Movember Galway team will officially launch the local Movember fundraising initiative on Friday, November 1st from 6 – 9 pm at The Skeff Late Bar & Kitchen. They invite everyone who is interested in supporting the cause along for the official launch party.

Join the Movember ambassadors for a fan-tash-tic night of celebrations at the ultimate moustache bash. Complimentary clean-shave’s will be offered on the night by Brian Redmond to get you bro’s mo ready. All those who avail of the shave will receive a complimentary Slane Whiskey. For the mo sista’s, there will be plenty of moustache props on the night for you to get into the spirit of it all. The team will be signing people up on the night to Grow A Mo and Save A Bro, so be sure to create an account and help to raise both funds and awareness for men’s health.

Now in its 16th year, Movember encourages millions of men around the world to embrace the moustache in all its glorious forms. The itchy one, the patchy one or even the lopsided one – they all help fight prostate cancer, testicular cancer and male suicide. Whether men fly the flag solo or join up with friends, work colleagues, sports clubs, schools or universities, adding some hair to their upper lip drives awareness and generates funds for vital men’s health issues. Those who sign up on the night can ask friends, family, or colleagues to back their Mo by donating. Funds will be invested in these key areas of Men’s Health: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
